Susan Manzi
Dr. Manzi earned her medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She completed her medical internship and residency at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina, where she was appointed Assistant Chief Resident. Dr. Manzi completed her fellowship in Rheumatology at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and received her Master of Public Health from the University of Pittsburgh Graduate School of Public Health in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Dr. Manzi serves on the CICS NIH study section and is a member of several Data Safety and Monitoring Boards for the National Institutes of Health. She Chairs the Federal Liaison Committee of the National Lupus Foundation, and the American College of Rheumatology Clinical Section of the Annual Meeting Planning Committee. Dr. Manzi has published over 100 reports of research in lupus and related diseases. She is recognized nationally and internationally as a leader in lupus patient care and research, and a pioneer in scientific investigation of cardiovascular disease in patients with systemic lupus erythematosus.
