1) Fellowship opportunities
The EiR Institute offers fellowships for attendance of the EiR Schools as follows:
Successful applicants from developing/emerging countries* will be entitled to:
- Travel support including :
- Return, economy air tickets to/from Madrid
- Accommodation support including :
- 4-night accommodation in Madrid to allow attendance of both the EiR Schools and the EiR conference
- Free registration to the entire EiR conference
Successful applicants from all other countries will receive:
- Free registration to the EiR Schools and EiR conference.

Nature Reviews Rheumatology is pleased to support the Excellence in Rheumatology Conference by providing two (2) travel grants to enable conferees from countries with developing economies* to attend the 2012 meeting in Madrid, Spain. These travel grants are part of Nature Publishing Group’s philanthropic program, which supports the career development of scientists and clinicians, and the communication of science.
The submitted abstracts will be reviewed by a Committee from Scientific Organizing Committee and Nature Reviews Rheumatology, and evaluated in terms of their scientific value and overall standard. All accepted abstracts will be included in the Book of Abstracts of Excellence in Rheumatology, which will be published as a supplement to the Rheumatology Journal published by Oxford University Press.
Application process
The applicants are required to submit two items:
- Their abstract
- A covering letter
